Welcome to the new Sporting Alfas Cricket Club website
The Woodbridge Oval is the home of Sporting Alfas Cricket Club. It is situated in Albir, the seaside resort of the town of L'Alfàs del Pi, in the province of Alicante and has become a popular venue for touring teams, with one hundred and ten having visited since the Club commenced playing in 1996.
The fact that demand for fixtures by touring teams far outweighs availability, is undoubtedly due to a number of factors that make the venue an attractive location for the differing requirements of touring teams.
The ground offers excellent facilities, with an artificial pitch and grass outfield, together with four practice 'nets'. The ground is located adjacent to the beach and within close proximity of good standard accommodation within the village of Albir. The town of L'Alfàs del Pi lies in an area of Spain noted for its wonderful climate and mountain scenery, and is only fifty minutes by road from Alicante airport and ten minutes from the night life of Benidorm.
The Club can organise accommodation, transport and fixtures, related to your tour. Our fixture list for 2008 is now almost complete, but we are happy to consider making bookings for future years.
